Our Mission

The Innovate Council Canada connects senior leaders from the public sector, private enterprise, and community organizations to foster innovation, encourage community collaboration, and address common needs and challenges. We begin by engaging in local discussions with leaders from government, industry, and community organizations, seeking opportunities for leadership networking to address needs and improve service delivery. Our ultimate goal is sparking innovation across Canada.

This is a two year initiative, with a goal to recognize 150+ leaders across Canada who have employed innovation for the betterment of their community.

Personal & Formal Recognition

Each local Innovate Council member holds a unique opportunity to personally and formally recognize an individual, company, or government department that has successfully employed innovation to benefit the community. Through this peer‑driven recognition, the 25 members will spotlight practical innovations that improve local services, strengthen partnerships, and inspire others to pursue creative solutions to shared challenges, reinforcing the Council’s mission to spark meaningful, community-focused innovation across Canada.

Council Meetings across Canada

The Innovate Council Canada will be organizing regional meetings in key cities across Canada throughout 2026 to foster community collaboration. Our members, who are leaders from government, industry, and community organizations, will focus upon addressing local, regional and national needs, community leadership, networking, and sparking innovation.

The Innovate Challenge Chip

The Innovate Challenge Chip celebrates exceptional visionaries driving meaningful change in their communities. Awarded to 25 innovators per city—and more than 150 leaders nationwide over two years—each Chip signifies a mark of excellence, a recognition of success, and forward-thinking impact within Canada’s innovation ecosystem. As one of the country’s most distinctive symbols of recognition, it connects trailblazers shaping the future of business, technology, and public leadership.
