About the Innovate Council
Our Mission
This is a two year initiative, with a goal to recognize Innovators across Canada who have successfully employed innovation for the betterment of their community. Selection of candidates for the award is largely left to the local members of the Innovate Council.
Local council meetings are designed to engage local discussions with leaders from government, industry, and community organizations, seeking opportunities for networking to address regional needs, and improve service delivery. Our ultimate goal is to Spark Canadian Innovation. Click the link to see the current roster of Members.

The Innovate Challenge Award
The Innovate Challenge Award celebrates exceptional innovators who are driving meaningful change in their communities.
The Award signifies a mark of excellence within Canada’s innovation ecosystem. As one of the country’s most distinctive symbols of recognition, it connects trailblazers shaping the future of business, government, community programs, and public sector leadership.
Nominations for the Innovate Challenge Award are open to the public. Click the Nominate an Innovator link and tell us about their innovative story. Criteria used to evaluate all nominees: “The effective application of innovation with clear community benefit.”
Recipients of the Innovate Challenge Award
Each quarter, every local Innovate Council will meet to identify, reward, and nationally recognize Innovators in their region. We will amplify their stories across the country in order to serve as an inspiration to others.

Individuals, companies, community organizations, and governments are being recognized for successfully employing innovation for the betterment of the community!
As of June 30, 2026, the Innovate Council has already recognized 10 Innovators with the Innovate Challenge Award! We have another 140 Innovators to identify and reward in the next 18 months.
The Innovate Council is a TreCo program!
The Innovate Council is a program of The Roundtable Event Company, aimed at recognizing innovators and fostering community collaboration among leaders from across Canada. This is a fully-funded, private sector, 2-year initiative with no ties to any political party, person, or policy. The goal of the Innovate Council is to bring the private and public sector leaders together to identify and recognize those who have successfully employed innovation for the betterment of the community. Our mission is to Spark Canadian Innovation!
